I was tasked to develop a brand and various collateral for PattyCake DayCare with a focus on how children can grow and develop their fundamental skills while at the daycare.
Branding Logo
The goal of the logo was to give a child‐like vibe to it. A playful font is used for the main text, while a san‐serif font is used for ”daycare.” This contrast allows the logo to give off a child‐like look to it, but still retain the ”adultness” to it.
Branding Font
Bold and bright primary and secondary colors are used for the branding color palette as these are the basic colors.
Branding Primary Font
The playful font, Joint, is used as the primary font as it conveys a child‐like dynamic.
Branding Secondary Font
The secondary font, Eurofurence, is used to contrast the playfulness of Joint.
Marketing Collateral Business Card
The randomness of the contact information illustrates how things can be in disarray when working with children. This is contrasted against the other side which has the logo nicely centered against the white background. This contrast shows how PattyCake DayCare can be a bit unorganized and random, but also be structured and organized.
Brochure A Head Start For Your Child
The informational brochure, whose purpose is to give a snap‐shot of the daycare to parents, adheres to the brand’s goal very well. Primary and secondary color are used, paired with their respective (split) complimentary colors to make them really pop. The playfulness goes further by having the text be at various angles, because let’s face it, a daycare is not a law firm. The marketing slogan for the daycare is A Head Start For Your Child which is shown on the front panel inside a green right‐facing arrow. This gives the impression of moving forward in learning the fundamental skills.
Web Banners First Month Free
Marketing web banners were designed for a ”First Month Free” promotion. The main color, orange, is used throughout the banners. Blue is used against the orange to make it stand out for the call to action.
